Downs Fischer Jazz Festival

The annual Downs Fischer Jazz Festival returns to Golden Valley High School on Feb. 27 at 5 p.m., featuring student jazz ensembles from across the William S. Hart Union High School District along with special guest performers. Hosted by the GVHS Music Department and Band and Color Guard Boosters, the event includes dinner and honors the legacy of influential local music educators Robert K. Downs and Stewart “Dirk” Fischer. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children, with proceeds supporting local music programs.
